Where the ranked ladder actually sits
Every ranked player counted at the rank they actually hold, since matchmaking split. Pick your badge to see how much of the ladder sits below you — and what wins there. Switch to Lobbies for the same ladder measured by the average badge of each match.
Players by rank
Each bar is one rank, counting the players who hold it. The ruler underneath lays the same ladder out end to end, so a rank's width is its share.

That is 140,128 of the 288,992 players counted this season, and puts Sentinel 3 in the top 51.5% of the ladder.
No hero data for this bracket yet.
Ordered like the tier list: a win rate counts for more when more matches stand behind it, so a thin sample cannot jump the queue — which is why a lower percentage can sit above a higher one. Same ranked bracket data, same 100-match floor.

Median player rank, day by day
One point a day. This series is recorded here and nowhere upstream, so it starts the day the recording starts and is never filled in backwards.
Each day adds one point, up to 90.
Ranked matchmaking restarted with the July 30, 2026 update.
What the number is, and what it isn't
Two measures, not two opinions
Players counts accounts at the rank they actually hold. Lobbies counts matches by the average badge of the twelve players in them. They answer different questions and they disagree on purpose — a lobby average is pulled toward the middle, so the Lobbies view has thinner ends than the real spread of players.
A player is only ever at a real rank
An average of twelve badges can land between two ranks; a player cannot. That is why the Players view has no between-rank bars at all, while the Lobbies view keeps those matches where they fell instead of rounding them onto a rank nobody held.
Counted once per window, not once per game
A player who climbs during the season is counted at each rank they held when the window was measured, so the player total is an upper bound on distinct accounts. On the Lobbies view the opposite applies: someone who queues twenty times moves the chart twenty times.
Ranked only, and only after the split
Standard matches carry no badge, so they cannot appear here even in principle. The window starts at the July 30, 2026 matchmaking update and never reaches back past it.
Honest answers
Does this show players or matches?
Both, and the toggle says which one you are looking at. Players counts accounts at the rank they actually hold. Lobbies counts ranked matches by the average badge of the twelve players in them — one match moves that chart once, no matter who was in it.
Why is the median not the tallest bar?
Because the tallest bar is the most crowded rank, not the middle of the ladder. The median is where the ladder splits in two: start from the bottom rank and add players going up, and the median is the rank where you pass halfway. A very crowded rank can sit entirely above that point — once everything below it already adds up to more than half, how tall it is changes nothing. The line marked MEDIAN on the chart shows where that split falls, so the gap between it and the peak is there to see.
Why do the two views disagree?
Because averaging hides the ends. A match with a Phantom and an Initiate in it lands in the middle, so the Lobbies view shows fewer extremes than really exist. The Players view has no averaging in it at all: every account is counted at its own badge.
Why do some bars say "between two ranks"?
Only on the Lobbies view. Averaging twelve badges often lands between two of them — half a lobby at one rank, half at the next — and those matches are shown where they fell rather than rounded onto a rank nobody held. On the Players view they do not exist, because no account can be at one.
Why is the top of the ladder nearly empty?
The two views fill from the bottom at different speeds. Players appear at the very top as soon as anyone gets there; the Lobbies view needs a whole match of them before it can average that high, so its top end stays empty for longer. Ranked restarted on July 30, 2026, and the highest ranks fill last either way.
Is the Standard queue in here?
No. Standard matches carry no badge at all, so there is nothing to average and nothing to plot. This page is ranked only, and the two queues are never mixed.
How fresh is it?
The numbers refresh about once an hour and the page states when they were last checked. If the data source is unavailable the last confirmed numbers stay on screen with their own timestamp — nothing is estimated to fill the gap.
